Accurate.
That was my favorite boss in the dlc and I thought Id get hours of fights out of him, but that aspect completely ruins it and I gave up sunbroing him pretty quickly. An unforgivably stupid design choice imo.

By his description sounds more like inexperienced players but you re right, it s pretty likely trolling summoning is just another thing that amuses adolescents (not necessarily anagraphically)
I could see inexperienced players at the beginning of the game, but I would think some experience would have worked its way into a player by the time they hit the DLC content, especially since it is so unforgiving. He has to have run into some type of experienced players, but that isn't what his statement claims, and that is why I feel it's probably trolls. It's unfortunate, but it is sadly part of the community in ER.
