I played this on my "old" computer, just thought I would start from the beginning now since it's been a while, and it's absolutetly unplayable. I've tried a few things/suggestions I've found but not being all that techy I guess I just have to not ever play this game again, sucks to pay for things and then they dont't work.

If your older machine has been updating windows over the past two years that's the problem. Windows updates have rendered so many older titles unplayable recently.

My older machine worked last time I played, even with all updates it had up to the point I got a new one and stopped using it. Just had another update on my new since I made the comment and can't even get to chapter selection anymore, so it got even worse with the new update... I miss when things actually worked.

This is exactly why I keep an older PC permanently offline so I can still use titles that worked 2 years ago. It's gotten really bad recently with games being wrecked by windows updates.

I think that ship has sailed for me as I gave a friend the old one since his was waaay to old for anything fun. So he ran all the updates. Why world why.

you can reset your PC and choose updates you want by date. they arent forcing me into paying for a game pass classics subscription lol.
