Report a translation problem
the block mechanic is based on you being able to react which the third person prospective makes it harder for you to react. this is a problem when doing last second as you want to get shots in before and after being hit
then its imersion breaking, not even for the horror factor just the game puts you in first person every time you preform an scripted animation
shadows of rose (the campaing it comes from and takes place after the main game) campaign content is thirdperson only tho and replaces the block and wont drag you into firstperson every other minute as the cutscenes are designed in thirdperson prospective
you can try and push past it none the less easy / normal would make blocking less essential and you wont have to deal it near as much when you get later in the game its just an annoyance early game
Overall I like it.
