every time i close the game all my progress is gone. is anyone else having this issue?

Like, this is a game that even LiS fans are calling boring... and this one is very pushy about certain things on top of that(Guess why it's free during June?). It's the kind of game I'd only consider playing if I was paid for every minute subjecting myself to it XD...

Would a cis straight dude who very much enjoyed Life is Strange enjoy this game? It sells itself very heavily on LGBT representation which is cool but doesn't really matter to me either way so just curious if the game is worth $20 for the storytelling.
