Constant crashes right as I'm approaching GAIA Prime for the final mission. (SOLVED)
EDIT: Issue resolved. I rebooted my PC and very briefly set the in-game fps limiter to 30 fps and never experienced the crash again. Thankfully, I was able to turn the limiter off immediately upon passing the point at which the game kept crashing. Playing this game at 30 fps rather than 60-80 fps would have been very disappointing. If anyone else runs into an issue like this, hopefully this helps somehow.

I assume this is happening because while I was exploring randomly the other day, I happened upon what I didn't know would be the final mission area. I fought all of the Stalkers, then proceeded up the mountain where I encountered a cut scene and a Stormbird. I killed the Stormbird and kept going forward. I made it into the very beginning of the ruins but could not proceed further, so I left.

Now, I have progressed to the final mission in the game and when I go through the area leading up to Gaia Prime, there are no Stalkers, no Stormbird and the game crashes every time I reach the same point, roughly 200 meters or so from the objective marker. I've reloaded the save several times and it crashes at the same location every time, just before I arrive at Gaia Prime. It's quite frustrating. I had only experienced 2 crashes before this and they occurred at random times in my 60 hours of playing. It's such a bummer that I can't finish the game because of this bug.

Have you tried capping your framerate to 30? That seems to have a pretty big effect on stability for some people.

I will try that. I got the game right after the 1.03 patch came out and I've been playing the game on 1440p at ultimate settings and getting a solid 65-85fps so having to limit it to 30fps will kinda suck. I'm hoping to be able to play through NG+ as well. I submitted a detailed email to customer support regarding this issue so hopefully they will be able to address it soon.

I know the feeling. I've got more than enough hardware power to run above 60fps at 1440, but, I limited myself to 30 for the sake of stability and fixing a few issues. Though, one of those issues has since been fixed. Though, not without a couple problems along the way.

So at the risk of sounding a bit stupid, it sort of popped into my mind that "could it possibly be as simple as shutting off my PC and starting it back up?" Strangely, that has solved several game instability problems for me before.

After doing that, I went ahead and set my fps limit to 30 as you said and voila, no more crashes. I turned the limiter off about 10 seconds after passing the point at which the crashes kept occurring and I've had no issues since. I don't know whether it was the reboot or the brief moment of fps limiting but I'm happy to say the issue has been resolved.

Was this the "the mountain that fell" mission it crashes at? I'll try the 30fps thing
This problem appears to be recurring in HZD Remastered. I have a 4090, playing in 1440p, max settings and the game has run like butter until now. No way to limit FPS to 30 in remaster. Any solution, or is anyone else still experiencing this?
