Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition
FPS-Problems
Hey There!

I think I might need some help from you guys. I'm struggling with a FPS problem and I don't know what causes it.
My specs:
I7-5820k
RTX 2070
32 GB 2133 mHz DDR4 RAM

My game runs on an HDD but most games have no Problem with that. Maybe it's because of Win 10? Idk.. I need your help pls..

1. You have an HDD
2. You have a slow CPU
3. You have painfully slow RAM
4. You are 100% CPU bound
5. You have an Nvidia GPU trying to run a DX12 game, you're hit by driver CPU overhead also
Well, my CPU sits at arround 40-65 % usage
and my GPU at 30-40%
nothing is overheating, CPU temp at 67°C and GPU at 60° C max
Try turn off ReBar in inspector

There is no Rebar on 5th gen i7. You need a 10th gen Intel processor at the minimum to enable Rebar. Also, you need an rtx 3000, so there's that.

Run CPU-Z, www.cpuid.com, then go to the SPD tab. Use the dropdown.
Pick any slot that has data and list the Frequency for each of the 4 results including if they are JEDEC or XMP

Then go to the Memory Tab and tell me what the DRAM Frequency is here

EDIT:
HDD could be part of why. Download and run HWmonitor and find the HDD listing. This shows the current, min and max. Play the game for a minute or 5 then switch to see what the drives Max usage hits. If it hits 100% that'll mean the drive keeps hitting it's limit which could be causing issues as it's and open world game and it struggling to load things on the fly.

You could try defragging the drive or checking to make sure it's performing as it should. CrystalDiskMark allows you to run speed benchmarks

You could try capping your fps, lowering your settings and possibly setting up triple buffering. You should be able to play, just don't expect any fancy graphics.
Thx for helping, I thought 2 upgrade would be better for now.
I-5 14600k
And an SSD
Hopefully I can play with better FPS then..
