Hades is an incredibly exciting and effective roguelike that gets so much right. The game's distinctive, cartoony art style combined with a delightful fast-paced soundtrack, enhances the experience and makes it truly stand out.

Combat is simple in it's concept, making it easy to learn. At the same time, thanks to the impressive boons system it offers remarkable depth in buildmaking. This system keeps encounters engaging and wildly satisfying.
The depth also makes the adventure highly replayable.

What further increases the replayability is the seemingly never-ending expansion of various progression systems. The game constantly adds new ways to enhcance your builds. It provides players with options through the hunt for keepsakes, purchasing new traits from the Mirror of the Night, modifying difficulty with The Pact of Punishment, upgrading weapons and unlocking new weapon variants. Just when you think you've seen it all, the game introduces compaions into the mix. This title continuously hooks it's players.

The plot begins as a light hearted soap opera, telling a story of godly beings trapped in the palace in the underworld, forced to deal with eachother. Father-son issues become the focal point of the story, as Zagreus – the protagonist, rebels against his father. As the player progresses through the game the humorous narrative transitions to encompass more mature themes. Zagreus – the rebelious teenager, becomes an instrument of change in the Underworld, gradually repairing the strained relationships between it's various inhabitants.

The game offers a solid, well-polished experience that constantly refreshes itself. The achievements present numerous demanding challenges for gamers looking to push themselves.
