Looking for more stuff like this.
I recently played Cruelty squad, and it sorta has that same aesthetic weird feel and I NEED MORE. Anyone got any titles?

You mean...punk/aesthetic titles? Let's go:
- Basically every Suda51 game;
- Jet set Radio;
- Hylics (maybe);
- Post Void;
- Hotline Miami;
- High Hell;
- Katamary Damacy;
- Lethal League;
- Okami (maybe);
- Psychonauts;
- Star Fetchers;

Sorry nobodys been a real help here, as a curator, I will second one here.

Yes, post void. But thats about it on that list, and even including that is a STRETCH, but PV is cheap and good ♥♥♥♥ anyways.

Over 3000 games I have played... theres not much like this. I'll take some time going over my entire collection (most off steam) and see what I can find, it's gonna take me a while lol.

Ok, after a quick look, it really does seem this game is on its own. Postal 2 could be on the list, but again thats a STRETCH. I think thats why the game is doing soooo well for a game that doesnt have "objectives" or "game goals".

I kinda felt a vibe from Cruelty Squad too.

Can VERY highly recommend Star Fetchers, has a very similar ~vibe~ on top of being a highly anticipated release for me. The currently available content is totally free so there's no reason not to give it a try.

I would also recommend:

  • Hypnospace Outlaw - Similar snarky humor, great music, an incredibly unique and entertaining aesthetic. Your a cyberpolice agent in an alternate history of 1999, where users can surf the web in their sleep. Hearkens back to a simpler time on the internet when surfing the web meant discovering weird one-off webpages and not just the same website with the same posts ad nauseam. Very stylish and a sequel/spin off are scheduled to release Soon™.

  • Broken Reality - You explore a parody of early 2000's internet cyberspace. Explore strange and fascinating webpages, meet strange users, take photos of your e-vacation (e-cation?)

  • Paradigm - A point and click adventure absolutely o o z i n g with style and substance, one of the more entertaining games of its genre to release and fly under the radar in the last several years. Very funny, very memorable.

  • Barn Finders - Ever watch American Pickers on History Channel? (Or is television a lost and forgotten medium, and I have just outed myself as a dinosaur who still remembers whatever the heck a "phonebook" is) Well Barn Finders is a lot like that show but without an ounce of seriousness. You break into old abandoned barns and steal anything that looks like it's of "value" to sell in your "shop", and I'm being very generous with the definitions of both of those words. Crass humor and atmospheric locations, as well as an enjoyable focus on collection, exploration, and store management.

  • Katamari Damacy - Not sure this game even needs an explanation. Even my daughter knows about this game and she doesn't even EXIST. And before you ask, yes, she loves it.

  • Zeno Clash 1 and 2 - Look, I'm not even sure where to begin explaining these. The bizarre and alien world, the mind bending presentation, the surprisingly gripping hand-to-hand combat, or, my God, the voice acting. A lot of this game has to be experienced to be believed, and boy is it an experience. Approach with an open mind, and fists thirsty for BLOOD. The sequel has co-op, so you might find it more enjoyable to hop into the second one totally blind with a hapless victim friend of your choosing.

  • Cloudpunk - You play a delivery driver in the sprawling cyberpunk city of Nivalis; taking jobs ranging from legally questionable to downright dubious you'll quickly find yourself attached to the many interesting characters, immersed in the rain-soaked atmosphere of the cloud-spearing city, and entangled in a plot far more dangerous than you bargained for. In no you'll be accustomed to the zooming sky traffic, and before long you'll be navigating Nivalis better than your own home city.

Tentative recommendations:

  • Dropsy - another point and click adventure game, this being the first game made by the Hypnospace Outlaw lead dev. Engaging, charming and occasionally mysterious, Dropsy is a people-centric story told entirely without a single word of dialogue. Some might think it a little rough around the edges, especially if you've never played a point-and-click adventure game before (and if you haven't, WHY???) If you only have it in your heart to pick just one indie surreal point-and-click adventure I'd recommend Paradigm first, but both are fantastic games.

  • Eastshade - A great game, the only reason I don't have it listed with the others is because it is full EXPLORATION and ATMOSPHERE with none of the PUNK and GRIT. You're a painter looking for inspiration in the gorgeous and mysterious island of Eastshade. Meet and assist many locals of many different walks of life, find and paint beautiful landscapes and scenery, and uncover mysteries in an intriguing fantasy world. Give this a try if you're just looking to indulge your inner explorer and are okay with it if none of the locals are ranting about the price of designer organs and collector's edition cigarettes.

Miscellaneous recommendations:

Check out the Surreal tag on the Steam store, as well as most of the titles published by Devolver Digital. I tend to find a lot of gems there. Hope some of these pique your interest!

In terms of dystopian cityscape open for binge-collectathoning and artsy escapism, be it graffiti, hacking, music-making or shooting pics:

↑ these two have nice mini-games inside them too.

That warm, rough, almost clay-like low-poly graphics with weird-ass setting:

Free-traversal, tongue-in-cheek open-world with punk-ish aesthetic:

And this, I believe, is from where snakes came from, or the other way around — the models are quite similar.
