I find a lot of information about how to increase it, but no info about what it does. I'm talking about the number you see on the right in the item synthesis screen, the one sitting above 4 small circles, 1 per element. Does it increase elemental damage for items/weapons? Perhaps add element resistance to armors? Perhaps it does nothing at all? :D...

Never played any of the Atelier games so i wonder where i should start and what games are connected or not.

So, I fought a slime, and it dropped some stuff. But, when I looked in the basket, the stuff wasn't there? I don't seem to be able to select anything when the loot menu appears, after a battle (so I don't know why there's a bunch of big green ticks everywhere), so why did I not get the drops? Is this a bug? And, yes, I had space in the basket, still. 33 spaces, to be precise....
