I'm down one of the holes of water, after the wheel puzzle. Made another torch and went right into the water. Found the wooden leg. Found the strange door also.

I click the plates on the floor and Holmes just says "Only a person with a wooden leg should open this door" even when I'm with it equipped. I don't know what to do. I've already tried starting from a different point of my saves, but it's the same.

May be I missed something. I need help.

EDIT: After half an hour of trying, I could open the door. You just have to click a bit to the left, just on the foot plate. Try it a couple of times, it may not work at first.
