I've never played 3, never had a PS3

I started the series with Drakengard 2, I was a kid lol

Then last year I read that D2 is actually seen as the worst of the franchise, and played D1 on emulator, I was shocked seeing how different it was, but I enjoyed it despite the clunky gameplay

Am I allowed to say that I have good memories of D2 tho :D ?

But yes, a remake of part 1 would be incredibly good, as the original title is barely playable. Drakengard 3's performance on the PS3 also leaves a lot to be desired, to put it kindly. Remakes based on the same engine as the replicant remake would do just fine imo.

Idk why but every time I read that statement about DoD1 I think it's people that haven't played the game. DoD1 is playable, the problem is that the gameplay is just spamming one button against hundreds of enemies and it gets boring really fast, even when the dragon changes the mechanics a bit, DoD3 in comparison suffers from stuttering that makes it unplayable

that’s for the same reason imo that there’s almost no merch compared to the Nier series
I don’t think Square Enix wants to associate its image with Drakengard anymore

To be honest I would be fine with ANY game where a dragon is a protagonist, doesn´t need to be in Taroverse

Drakengard 3 on emulator is way better than on PS3. But I think its probably the worst yoko taro title by quite a bit. It's imo quite a bit of a step back from Nier (on PS3) In all aspects music, story, characters.

I do think the original drakengard would be a good title to remake (reimagine) though.
