Change the language. The game must not accept your language.

To explain the solution to this issue:

1) On the main menu, go to settings and look at the top for a language selection.
2) Switch laguage to any language. Basically just click on the arrow to change language.
3) Switch to the language you want to play in. If this is English that is fine, the game just tries to identify the language on your computer by default although the game displays in English. What I'm saying is that you manually have to choose English in that case.
4) Save and exit settings and start the game.

Everything should work. You might have to do this EVERY time you want to play the game, I'm not sure. Hope this helped!
