This was fantastic!

Having not played a FMV game before, I went into this with low expectations. I thought it would be janky and not very good. I was completely wrong! The video quality was great on the Steam Deck. I was very impressed with how the videos for different choices were for the most part seamless. The people planning, coordinating, directing, acting, working the camera, and editing had to be on top of their game to make this work so well. Even the sound and music transitions were good. I'm very impressed and will certainly try more FMVs in the future.

I liked this one, but it's rough. There's many moments that are so poorly written, or so vaguely constructed, in order to accommodate a "branching choices matter" like appearance, but it really only branches out towards the end. With that being said, the cinematography and seamless playback of it all is technically impressive, and the narrative is quite enjoyable, even if at some points pretty laughable. The actors actually provide a great flow, despite some of the awkwardness of some of the scenes. It does slog at points, and there's some fun stuff to find, but this is a "buy it on sale and play it one rainy night" kind of experience. I really enjoyed being able to skip videos you've seen, as it allows for quickly discovering the paths you missed the other times, and I actually used this to get them all myself, which is unusual.

TLDR; A little dry, but pretty fun experience with some cool but stupid sci-fi/political thriller action.

7/10 pretty good, I liked everything.
