Alan Broke 2
For all the praising Alan Wake 2 received, with so many awards and great reviews, it sold very poorly so far, ( https://gamerant.com/alan-wake-2-sales-development-costs-report/ ) only 1.3 million copies! Sure, not having Physical copies, being exclusive to Epic Games Store on PC, pushing a mostly bland race-swapped newcomer to be played in half of Alan Wake 2 (Half-Wake 2, heh) as leading co-protagonist, leaning on horror with less action, all helped with the poor sales. Yet Alan Wake 2 should have sold much more even with all these constraints, especially from the Wokes, who were praising Saga Anderson as the "next feminine Icon of gaming".
Speaking of Woke, why the hell Melanie Liburd got so many nominations as her performance as Saga Anderson when there were so many much better actors in Alan Wake 2, such as Matthew Porretta, Ilkka Villi, James McCaffrey (RIP), David Harewood, Peter Franzén (Koskala brothers), Doug Cockle, and Christina Cole (Alice Wake)????? Well, I think I know too well the damn answer.
While I am glad Remedy Entertainment finally got to make Alan Wake 2, it is pitiful they had to resort to Epic Games to fund them. Was 505 Games so bad or greedy as a publisher to be let go? Epic Games feels like a devilish deal, especially for forsaking Steam AND bringing Sweet Baby, Inc. in to taint Alan Wake 2. I refuse to believe Remedy Entertainment had the initiative to seek Wokeness.
While I made sure to buy Alan Wake 2 for myself in a nice deal past Christmas, I still think you all must buy Alan Wake 2 as soon as it arrives on Steam, ok?? I promise you Alan Wake 2 is not as Woke as Sweet Baby Inc. tried to make it be, and can still be enjoyed.

1 The 1.3 million in 3 months is the best sales remedy ever had. Alan Wake 2 sold over 50% more in 2 months than control did in 4 months.
2 They picked Epic games because it allowed them to have full creative control over the game, full financing of the game and rights to it after that.

No. This hot pile of garbage doesn't deserve to sell any more copies. We deserve better games. Throwing money at bad games won't make our dreams come true.

Funny, how you are not able to stop the purchases from others. Its already an amazing game, either you like it or not. And people WILL buy it. Take the L. :steamsalty:

Ok, then!

Played it, never paid for it. I'll purchase it if it hits Steam.

1 - Remedy hasn't sold well a game since Max Payne 2 was released. Fastest sale is still a very low bar of Commercial success. Yet I hope over time Alan Wake 2 improves its sales, especially after the DLCs are out.
2 - There was no "full" creative control thanks to the intromission of Sweet Baby, Inc., which must have been an imposition of Epic Games. I think Melanie Liburd should have been Agent Estevez instead of race-swapping Saga Anderson.

1 don't worry sales will improve. Remedy games sales don't stop after a few months or a year. For example control now has now over 4 million copies sold from which one million was gained since march 2023 to february 2024.

2 You know that having consultants doesn't decrease creative control? They are there to give you feedback not to force changes. If someone doesn't agree with the feedback they can ignore it. And any source that epic was the one to hire them?

1 - I hope you are correct but it sucks even Alan Wake 2 follows this Remedy's trend of "taking years to turn a profit".
2 - Can they really ignore consultants? I am not so sure: https://youtu.be/FGc0PdH0EzI?si=I0PbhizzkRg3u9rp

1 Small correction for Remedy games it takes several months to make a profit
2 You know that this clip is manipulated? In full conference she states a few seconds after the clip ends that she said it as a joke.

2 - "Joke"🤣 Do you actually fall for that? Of couse she did what pretty much all public figures, especially politicians, do when they realize they said something Stupid in a Speech: try to void it, as just some Freud slip disguised as something positive, like a joke, figure of speech, sarcasm, irony, yadayadayada...

Sorry I believe in a rule of innocent until proven guilty. At this point let just agree to disagree because I suspect that we reached the point where dissuction will become less and less productive.
P4Novy 14 Apr @ 10:53am
Ok, after all, there is no such thing as "innocence" regarding Sweet Baby, Inc. The only thing "innocent" about Kim Blair's statement was to be too sincere at that presentation, but since she never came forward publicly to explain herself and prefer to just lock their social media accounts and try to get banned the Steam group "Sweet Baby, Inc. Exposed"... Very guilty!

1 Why she needs to apologize for something that she stated as a joke?
2 The one that wanted to ban steam group sbi detected was Chris Kindred not Kim Blair. Get your facts straight

Now you are being an apologist to Sweet Baby, Inc. :steamsalty: I suggest you to move on.
