Is or will Alan Wake 2 come to steam?
Also wanna say, Alan Wake 2 did what Cyberpunk 2077 didn't do.
It postponed the launch and made it a much better game on release!

Remedy wasn't forced by stakeholders to release like CDP was, even though CDP held off a couple of times. However, Cyber was still pretty good @ launch, for PC anyway.

I don't think it's ever coming to Steam.

not happening. It's epic exclusive only. Same with remastered. If you have a ps5 then no issue.

Remedy owns the IP and self published the original release of the first game on Steam. Epic funded and published the remaster and AW2

Nevah. If AW2 get enough sales, very likely Epic will buy the whole Remedy next:lunar2019laughingpig:.

It won't come to steam unfortunately. But so far, the only thing the game has are graphics. Very few people talk about the story or gameplay. If there's any consolation, epic only has the rights to publish this game and the remastered version of Alan wake 1, so if there's ever an Alan Wake 3 or another game from remedy, they might come to Steam.

without epic alan wake 2 wouldnt even exist, so its safe to say it will never leave epic store

The story is every bit as great as the graphics. The gameplay is good but it's much slower than Remedy's previous games.

It's still very possible Alan Wake 2 will 'someday' come to Steam, once Remedy's publishing deal with Epic has expired (and not renewed), but this will undoubtedly take at least a few years, and would be after Epic has recouped it's development costs for the game...or perhaps sooner should Epic abandon the Epic Games Store for any reason.

Alan Wake 1 was once published by Microsoft, which is why it was an Xbox 360/PC exclusive until very recently, and why Quantum Break is STILL currently an Xbox/PC exclusive.
That should give you a clue as to the time-frames we're probably talking about.

With how people are posting here about AW2, you'd think it was already on Steam :steamhappy:

AW2 literally made many believe in story games again because modern games were going down in terms of story quality, not even Baldur's Gate could do that, the mission "we sing" is arguably the best story and visually stunning mission, sorry no sorry, you just spoke outta your a** because the game wasn't launching on Steam, AW's story requires a really high intelligence to fully understand as it's about physics and 4th dimension which is also in the first one, no other game has ever did that , just the TVs of AW1 look better than any deep conversation in any other game...we have people who watched and loved those mini shows in AW and we have people who have a short attention span and never watched em to begin with, much like yourself (played AW1 4 hours pff)...:ShadowWick:

The only way AW2 will come to Steam is if Epic gives the publishing rights back to Remedy.
Maybe it will come to GOG years from now but i wouldnt hold my breath.
