Can you please look into this? Shouldn't be all too hard having a choice in what controller player two uses.

We are sorry to hear your little one is having this issue to play in Co-Op mode.

We are afraid the game is this way by design. Whenever you enter co-op the keyboard and mouse are always player 1 and the gamepad becomes player 2.
The game considers the keyboard and mouse to always be player 1, so you will always play with Ben when entering co-op. The only way around this is having two controllers connected. If you connect a second controller, the two characters move each with one controller.

This must be easily patchable since the player inputs are not hard bound (as a singleplayer game the game pad works fine!)
