Can you fix multiplayer coop for empire? Only been waiting for 10 years, and this is the only one worth playing. Hopefully we will see some new life brought into these older titles. Hopefully the game content will NOT be altered or changed to be inclusive to the political correctness of modern society. I think many can agree the game content was never an issue, it was the bugs, AI, and broken mechanics that needed to be fixed.

COOP please - really nice gesture but I have missed the COOP a very long time :)

Now if only the game could get some much needed balancing.

Somehow it changed the language into spanish. And it won't matter if i changed the language setting in steam before launching the game again,,

Please add in that multiplayer campaign! You already have added it in the other total wars following, and I can't imagine it being any difficulty now to impliment it in now. If your going to pick up the game now, the least you could do is that... the most being that, plus filling in the whole world map, but I think we can wait for Empire II: Total War, or rather Total War: EMPIRE II for that.

Also, did you steal the name from AoE [Age of Empires] "Definitive Edition" which they have used for the new, actually revamped AoE [1] and will be implimenting for AoE2 and AoE3? If so... that's a bit disappointing.

How about you fix the bugs now? There are quite a few of them you see. SSAO doesnt work properly, the camera from bullets \ cannonballs perspective freezes the game and gets you stuck in a sound loop, the Ottoman turn bug from mid game is still a thing, and the late game crashes are still there

Nice move from a branding perspective. Consistency is King. Even though this sort of adjustment was necessary and vulnebrable to the principle of brand alignment (started with Shogun 2), it is unfortuntely an underwhelming move for the community. Yes it is a industrial trend, filled with Remastered, Remakes and Definitve Editions, but this one is sort of a dissapointment.

From a distribution perspective I I think it does offer benefits, might induce trial for those people who never even tried the old titles of the TOTAL WAR franchise before and draws a few smiles upon players who didnt own all DLC yet( I personally didnt own any DLCs for ETW, so yey, however it was pretty much unplayable without Modifications and felt a bit dull in vanilla).

I hoped that CA would dedicate a least some ressources in polishing up or actuallly improving the so called Definitve Editions over the originals, but here wer are....

Either way that was my short remark on this update. I had to write it, since I noticed this namechange(thats what is is for me) instantly. I was looking to launch Napoleon Total War...
Thanks for the free DLC though. Great idea.
Lastly, please dont forget the fact, that you have a massive fanbase for the "Gunpowder Era" titles.

PS: CAElla, look at how you labeled the discussion thread. It is Total War: Napoleon now ;)
Upadate: If I were you I would change the name for all titles. What about Rome and Medieval and Shogun. And how about offering those 3 dinosaurs for free?(preposterous I know ;)

I guess you won't fix the fort path finding bug, right?
is it fix?
Utentesperto 20 Nov, 2018 @ 1:21pm
I didn't test it, but they didn't fix it in years and years, and yes, they know it, i don't think they would do it just like that.

Delete this. I didn't ask for it. I don't like outsiders messing with me. I paid for something and I don't like it messed with. Get rid of it right now!!!!!!!

nice gesture, but for those who paid for everything in the first place, rather a mute point, so it seems for those who didn't, they get something for free, everyone else who did but all the extra DLC's get a free name change only and nothing else, so rather a mute point and mixed feelings on this one, but does make me think with this kind of nice gesture, not to buy everything in the start from you maybe again, if later down the road i may get them all free at a later date, so no thanks for the nice gesture from the ones who did buy all from day one :(

If only they added in a multiplayer campaign would revive/boost the already alive playerbase. That would be a DLC I wouldnt mind paying for :D

Look i don't understand why all of you are complaining.

This is obviously a business decision; after years and years, the game was not selling anymore at all, and this move would give a little of publicity, i bought all of them years ago, and i don't feel neither a little scammed or betrayed.

The only reason why i'm angry, is that they never fixed lot's of game breaking bugs, and you know what? If they would do it now, (and they won't), it would be anyway too late, i would be happy, but i would anyway blame them, for not fixing those bugs in years and years.

But the fact that they are giving away some DLC, well, just who care!

Well seems that a lot of people actually "care", but i find that simply silly.
