Upgrading embedded plazas ? Need an easier way to upgrade plazas.
So I was adding single tile plazas under roads and some fences. However, it is next to impossible to upgrade the single tile plazas under the hedge fencing, perhaps other fencing as well, because the mouse tends to select the fence or nearby building. Is there any way to specifically select the plaza for upgrading? While the in-game GUI tells you that you can add plazas underneath road - it does not however allow for a better or easier way to upgrade them when you have a lot of clutter or buildings nearby. Destroying fences to upgrade a plaza won't work because once you destroy the fence to upgrade the plaza, the game thinks that a building is in the way of prohibiting you from placing a fence as it is interpreting the plaza as a building and won't let you place a fence on top of it despite allowing you to put a plaza underneath an existing fence. But then two objects inhabit the same space and is very difficult to upgrade the plaza.

...and before someone decides to drop in and say "use F2" to show & hide upgrade icons, that is only applicable for buildings and does not correspond/apply with plaza and park upgrade opportunity ability.

If there is no actual way to better upgrade a plaza that is underneath say a road or fence then I hope the developers can add a toggle for upgrading parks and plazas. Especially when you have preexisting objects already in place. Trying to use the mouse to cycle through crap and get everything other than the plaza is a bit annoying and hard, especially if you're trying to go for a more "refined" look.

I might be thinking of another game, but I thought you could click a couple times on a spot to cycle thru the things on it. Maybe its a bit like pixel hunting along the edge of the road or fence to get to the plaza under it.
You use plazas?

You can "sort" of do that in this game too. But you still end up getting stuff around it.
It would be nice if you could have a toggle for upgrading parks and plazas, you just have to kind of click around to upgrade them.
Single plaza's no longer give desirability bonuses anymore, right. There's literally no reason to put them under roads and only really worth it to fill in 1x1 gaps after using 2x2 plazas (which still do give desirability buffs)

Correct. This was dropped long ago.
